Sentry Group is a global company produces more fire-resistant chests, files, safes, security storage containers and gun safes than any other company in the world.

Challenges

Sentry Group was looking to develop a solution for Freight Management utilizing APO and BW. Subsequently, Sentry Group was looking for a reliable and cost effective partner for SAP ERP upgrade to ECC6.0 along with Unicode conversion. Sentry Group was looking for a partner who had strong upgrade experience as well as full bandwidth to support technical challenges during upgrade.

Solution

Sage Group started this engagement with helping Sentry Group with APO footprint enhancements in terms of better business reporting for Freight management. Sage Group developed custom functionality in BW to provide intelligence in Freight Management. For ERP Upgrade, Sage Group started with upgrade assessment utilizing our proprietary tool and upgrade methodology. During upgrade, Sage Group provided innovative approach to start Upgrade activities optimizing ABAP mitigation effort by proactively adjusting the technical object at right time.

Results

Sage Group successfully deployed Freight Management functionality. Subsequently Sage Group was selected as an SAP upgrade and technical support partner. Sage Group has successfully upgraded Sentry's ERP application to ECC 6.0 and concluded Unicode conversion as fixed cost solution. Upgrade and Unicode transformation was concluded with in 4 months timeframe.
